OCOIP 2024 Special Session

OCOIP-MPC'24: Microwave Photonic Communications

Microwave photonics, an interdisciplinary field that combines microwave engineering and photonic technology for the generation, transmission, processing, and control of microwave signals, to take advantage of the broad bandwidth, high frequency, and low loss offered by modern photonics, which is regarded as one of the key technologies to break through the rate and bandwidth bottlenecks faced by information systems, and widely used in the fields of communication, sensing, biomedicine, aerospace and so on. In this context, OCOIP-MPC'24 aims to bring together global experts, scholars and industry elites to build a diversified, open and innovative sharing platform, and to jointly promote technological innovation and exchange in the field of microwave photonic communications, as well as the industrial development of its application areas.

OCOIP-MPC'24 Topics of interest include, but are not limited to the following

  • Microwave photonic sensing and measurement technology
  • Microwave photonic signal processing technology
  • Microwave photonic radars
  • Laser-microwave communications technology
  • Photonics-based broadband microwave processing technology
  • THz communication and detection
